Journey 5,000 years into the past on this expedition through the Boyne Valley and the ancient hills of County Meath. This tour explores the spiritual heart of Neolithic Ireland, visiting the world-renowned Brú na Bóinne complex (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the mystical hills where High Kings once reigned. You will witness engineering marvels that predate the Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge, seeing firsthand how Ireland's ancient ancestors honored their dead and tracked the movements of the sun and stars.
We begin at Knowth, often considered the "hidden gem" of the Brú na Bóinne complex. While Newgrange is more famous, Knowth is larger and archaeologically more complex.
Next, we visit the jewel of the ancient world, Newgrange. Built around 3200 BC, this grand passage tomb is a masterpiece of Stone Age engineering and astronomy.
We then travel to the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland. While famous for its royal history, the Hill of Tara is dominated by a Neolithic passage tomb known as the Mound of the Hostages (Dumha na nGiall).
Our final stop takes us off the beaten track to the Loughcrew Cairns, also known as the "Hills of the Witch" (Sliabh na Caillí).
